Jeff Berger, Chief Executive Officer

Jeff Berger is a serial entrepreneur with experience leading Internet recruiting companies focused on young professionals and their career journey. Berger joined Doostang.com as CEO in June 2011, following the acquisition of Doostang by the Universum Development Group. Nearly 1 in 4 recent graduates from the top 30 U.S. universities is a member of Doostang.

Berger is the President of Digital Media for the Universum Group, the global leader in employer branding. The digital business unit consists of twelve career websites that serve employers and job seekers in eight countries.

Prior to Doostang and the Universum Group, Berger spent three years as the CEO and co-founder of KODA, an Internet recruiting company based in San Francisco. At KODA, Berger set the overall direction and strategy for the company, raised venture financing, sold the product to Fortune 500 companies and grew the company from an idea to over 20 employees. Berger graduated from Tulane University and currently resides in New York City.

Mareza Larizadeh, Founder

Mareza founded Doostang while completing his MBA at Stanford University.  Previously, he was a Vice President at Draper Fisher Jurvetson (DFJ) ePlanet Ventures.  During his tenure, the fund invested in Skype (eBay) and Baidu, and he personally sourced and led its investments in End2End Mobile (MACH), Ember Corporation and Groxis.  Mareza started his career at Merrill Lynch as a trader in the bank’s Global Credit Derivatives Group.  He is a graduate of Stanford University Graduate School of Business and School of Engineering.
